The strength of our relationships
shapes the strength of our lives.
That’s because we’re wired for connection—it’s in our biology.
From the way we love, to how we cope, grow, and heal, meaningful relationships are at the heart of it all. When we feel safe, seen, and connected, we become more resilient, grounded, and alive.

And yet...we’re living
through a crisis of connection.
Despite being more digitally connected than ever, many of us are feeling lonelier, more anxious, and more emotionally isolated. The rise of screen time, remote everything, and social media has made it easier to stay in touch—but harder to truly connect.
We’re losing some of our most essential human experiences: eye contact, presence, shared space, deep conversation, and the simple comfort of being understood.
And it's taking a toll—on our relationships, our sense of self, and our emotional well-being.

We're here to help you reconnect.
At Beacon Hill, we understand how disorienting it can feel to move through life disconnected—from others, or even from yourself.
Whether you're a parent trying to support a struggling teen, an individual carrying relationship pain or trauma, or someone simply longing for more meaningful connection—we’re here to walk beside you.
Our approach & values
At Beacon Hill, we believe healing happens in safe, supportive, and non-judgmental relationships. Our approach blends compassionate counselling with forward-thinking mindset coaching, rooted in attachment theory and the deep belief that you don’t have to do this alone.
We are an inclusive, trauma-informed practice committed to meeting every client with empathy, clarity, and zero judgment.
We affirm all races, genders, sexual orientations, and neurodiverse experiences—and we hold space for the real, messy, human parts of life: relationship struggles, identity questions, burnout, heartbreak, and emotional overwhelm.
You're worthy of support that helps you feel seen, understood, and empowered to create lasting change—from the inside out.

Meet Krista Lachapelle.
Founder of Beacon Hill
Social Scientist • Relationship Counsellor & Coach • Attachment Nerd with a Big Heart
I’ve always been deeply curious about why we feel, think, and relate the way we do. That curiosity led me to complete both undergraduate and graduate studies in psychology — and continues to fuel my work today as a social scientist, relationship counsellor & coach, and devoted student of human connection.
Alongside academic training in brain-based coaching, counselling, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method, hypnotherapy, and mindset coaching… my greatest teachers have been life and love themselves.
I’ve lived through childhood trauma, walked through heartbreak, and rebuilt a meaningful life on the other side. I’ve raised two incredible children — one of whom is neurodivergent — and today I co-parent in a thriving, respectful partnership with my former spouse.
After my marriage ended, I navigated years of painful, confusing, and even toxic relationships — experiences that deepened my understanding of attachment wounds and the courage it takes to try again. Through it all, I’ve taken bold leaps to realign with what matters most: integrity, connection, and joy.
Now, I help others do the same.
Whether you're navigating relationship pain, parenting challenges, anxiety, or attachment struggles, I offer a blend of science, lived experience, and deep compassion. Together, we’ll heal the past, strengthen the present, and build a future that feels emotionally secure, self-honouring, and truly yours.
Why I Combine Counselling and Coaching
I’m not just a coach. I’m not just a counsellor. I’m both — and that’s intentional.
Counselling helps you understand your past.
It holds space for your pain, your patterns, and the moments that shaped your nervous system.
It helps you integrate trauma and rebuild emotional safety.
Coaching looks toward your future.
It asks: What do you want now? What needs to shift? How do we get there together?
It’s practical, goal-driven, and rooted in forward momentum.
I believe real healing happens when we combine both.
Because you don’t just need insight — you need movement.
You don’t just need a plan — you need emotional safety to follow through.
This isn’t surface work.
It’s deep, transformative support that meets you where you are — and walks with you toward who you’re becoming.
